It was all settled. We were not getting worked up over the ex-girlfriend from hell anymore. We ordered in and watched movies for the rest of the night. “I’ve been wondering…” I said with hesitation. “Wondering what Jay?” said Tay. “That guy from the party, Ace. He’s fine.” I said laughing. “I thought you weren’t fucking with love,” Tay said coming to take a seat next to me. “I know, I’m just saying! That guy is fine!” I said sipping on my Ribena. “I can introduce him to you if you like,” Becka Said. “I don’t know…” I said shaking my head. “When you make up your mind let me know… He’s one call away.” She said waving her phone. Tay started laughing at me while Becka made it clear she had his number. I’ve never been in a relationship since my last boyfriend in high school. I’m not sure if I’m ready to open up my heart to someone again. “They’re performing this Friday at our Performing Arts Center. I can get ya’ll some tickets if you want.” Becka said going into the kitchen. 11 My mind was all over the place. Was I going to accept? Was I going to try this love thing all over again? “Hell yea!” yield Tay jumping out of her seat. “I’m going to spend the night with Rick on Friday so you guys should do something.” Becka continued. “Okay, I mean whatever, shoot!” I said giving in to Becka and her teasing.
